Glad you enjoyed the game. I am going to delete your comment for its untagged spoiler because some people tend to look at the comments section before deciding whether to download or not, but thank you anyway!
Game felt extremely personal. Took me a while to finish cause I had to stop cause it felt like you were putting a mirror to what I've felt a lot. Amazing. Hoping for a sequel or just more in general from you.
this game was amazing and really made me feel for the characters. they felt like real people and their personalities + relationship felt startingly realistic. it's a beautiful exploration of mental health and a complex relationship. it left me with both a pit in my stomach and boundless hope. this is truly a work of art and i hope others will discover and experience this fame. the government should give you a million dollars to continue making thought-provoking pieces of work like this!
allthis to say; your game is amazing and i really hope you're having a good day!
Just wanted to say I really really did love your game, by far, my favorite visual novel- made me laugh, cry, rage- I LOVED IT; i came looking for bronze, and found diamonds; Now I kinda feel void because it's over, but still, best 3 hours of my life- you absolutely cooked; do you have any future projects that involves Clinical Trial? Maybe a sequel or something like that?
Came here from a Let's Play and the writing is so tight in this game, my god. The slow growth of suspense and particularly Angel and Lee's interpersonal dynamic make for a tense and engrossing plot. The simpler style for the character designs makes the rich backgrounds and interesting animations more obvious while still giving a really good idea of what the character is like. I absolutely love it.
hai homie! it’s joe, just wondering what version of rpg maker you used to make the game since i'm planning to make my own in the future ^.^❤️ adore the game btw..
I used RPGMaker MZ because that is the only version available for Mac. If you’re on Windows, the version of RPGMaker that has more free plugins is MV, but MZ is the version that is currently being updated and has more built-in features.
I believe that there are a few features that are specific to MZ that I used to make Clinical Trial that are not native to MV. That being said, Clinical Trial was my first game and first time ever using gamemaking software in general, so my experience is very limited.
when i played this i thought it was gonna revolve around a "secretly evil hospital"-type plot or something of that like if u know what i mean, so this was very refreshing. i really liked the relationship and characters of lee and angel. also liked the endings a lot, i can understand the decisions made in both of them though i want to see lee happy. anyways i'm very glad i played this, looking forward to anything else you might make in the future
i've never never played a game in rpg maker i think. and the ending that i got was like.."DAMN just like that?" and later i saw the ending 1 and was like "what" so i spended the whole day with this feeling of dissatisfaction. Conclusion, i liked this, ¿will we see lee and angel again?
I truly loved this game, the story, the characters, the music. I enjoyed every minute of it, which is why I wanted more people to be able to enjoy it [which is why I decided to create the fan Spanish translation].
I really look forward to your future work <3. I can't wait to see what else you create. Thanks for everything!
edit 1 day later: Still thinkin about this game. frustrated there isn't more but acknowledging that it's already the perfect size.
That was such a good game, forgot I downloaded it like a month ago from a tiktok clip, was clearing my files for storage for Ark: Survival evolved when I came across the ZIP for it. decided I'd play it while I downloaded that. Some guy in the comments here spoiled it but I managed to divert that spoiler in my own dumb way and spent the entire game waiting for something that wouldn't ever happen. really enjoyed it, a nice surprise, however in terms of the choice it's like coughing baby versus hydrogen bomb. Directly after dropping the bomb that no one cares, asking forgiveness is a freebie, even if it is sort of a gilded cage.
I actually quite understand your feeling. However, I'm content enjoying the various comics Homie posts on Twitter. They're not canon [not entirely], but they're quite enjoyable and provide a bit more story.
I saw fanart of this game on twitter, and I had a boring evening to kill and randomly decided to play this. This game is lifechanging. It has amazing characters and atmosphere, and the writing really hits. It's a refreshing story using a unique structure that is very effective. I went in with some expectations of what it would be like based on the title and summary, but it took a completely different turn which was super fun and interesting! I'm absolutely hooked and I love Angel and Lee. Both endings are great in different ways, and not cut-and-dry as 'good' or 'bad' endings.
I did encounter a gamebreaking glitch (idk how) by pressing the save button too quickly after pausing the game? It said something like "command not available", but it didn't ruin the experience for me since I recently saved before that. Maybe it's a bug to look into?
But yes. 100 times yes. This is a perfect short rpg that accomplishes exactly what it set out to achieve. 5/5 goty. Please play it!!
this game was amazing, honestly had me hooked from just a clip of angel. plot was fire, characters were fire, everything.. peak! im so excited for future creations! ur work is amazing :3
i just finished my first playthrough and i can confidently say this is hands down one of the best games on this website i've ever played, no question. it had me hooked from the start to finish with its realistic, sometimes comedic dialogue that made me actually feel attached to the characters. i just love all the little details in the environment that you can inspect as the story progresses. ive been meaning to play this for a while now since i really liked the art style and the premise sounded interesting as someone with adhd. and i cant believe i didnt play this sooner because holy fuck i wished it would never end. id gladly pay for a game like this with 10+ hours of playtime or longer.
i honestly cant remember the last time a 3 hour long game made me feel absolutely empty after finishing it because i got so attached to the characters. there were game design choices that kept up the suspense really well (e.g. timing of save checkpoints) and had me on an emotional rollercoaster. im a huge sucker for questionable or problematic relationships as depicted here and it scratched my itch for it perfectly. thank you for making this and for publishing it. i dont regret getting the ending i got at all no matter how ethically dubious it was. i mean thats how it was throughout the whole thing i was like "this would be so fucked up and inappropriate on so many levels in reality. why do i still like where this is going." no complaints 10/10
edit: just to add shamelessly that i had no hesitation initiating the tub scene whatsoever and a part of me even hoped for the slim chance for something More
Hello! We would like to volunteer to create a Turkish voiceover for your game, Clinical Trial. We believe it has the potential to gain attention and be well-received in Turkey. Do you have a contact address or email where we could reach you?
Finished the whole game. Beautiful work, your dialogue writing is amazing and just overall the game is really inspiring!
When I feel all alone and my brain is cooking up reasons to feel bad; I get a sense of relief knowing that there are experiences out there similar to mine. Thank you.
I Love/Hate this game a lot. It's a very well developed suspense and it's first two acts are SO good, the art is really nice and I love the characters...
But I think that there HAS to be somewhere that says "We don't condone this" because I love this unhealthy messy relationships, but I'm slightly afraid about the rest.
I love your game, especially the Angel character! I turned them into a streamer using OBS and Stream Deck. I’d love to share a video with you of what I’ve done so far.

I played this game a few days after the release and I can't stop thinking about it since

Also the ambience is really good

Hi CT,
I love your game, especially the Angel character! I turned them into a streamer using OBS and Stream Deck. I’d love to share a video with you of what I’ve done so far.
Looking forward to your thoughts!
I really loved your game.
Normally I dont like games that are like visual novels, but I absolutely loved this, I cant even explain it with words.
Waiting to see more of your job!!
awesome game! love the art
I don't usually play indie games but this is very beautiful.
Played this yesterday, amazing game, amazing story, 10/10 would reccomend for some people.
Only question is- will there be another game made by you? (doesn't have to be related)
